Pumped Up Kicks
If you were a sneaker, your star would be rising. As much as chunky heeled sandals and wedge boots give us bliss, we’ve found ourselves slipping into our favourite kicks more often than ever.

Constant collabs in the recent past between sneaker companies and fashion houses –as well as fashion houses churning out sneaks of their own, might have something to do with kicks being sorta kinda acceptable in snooty style circles now.
All you’d have to do is look at Converse’s continual partnership with John Varvatos, as well as current offerings created in collaboration with Finnish design house Marimekko and the ever colorful, ever zigzaggy Missoni. Also worth checking out is Maison Martin Margiela’s coveted yellow tinged pair that made waves over Spring Fashion Week.

Even within the region, brands are hooking up with sneaker companies to produce theirs, with the latest collaboration being between Zouk and Feiyue.

Even it girls (that have nothing to do with traditionally sneaker-mad Hip Hop) love ‘em. Back in March, fashion darling Alexa Chung was hired to front a campaign for Italian sneaker brand Superga’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

We’re definitely inspired by Suzy Bubble who rocked neon vintage over neon Nikes during Milan fashion week.
If you ever find yourself in Switzerland, hop on over to No Boys Allowed, the only sneaker shop in the world catered to women. (Crazy talk right? Someone open one here stat!) But I digress. Since we’re all here in front of our computers, here are 9 of our favorite kicks you can get your hands on through the power of the Internet.
