Look into the Karleidoscope…
From Chanel to Diet Coke and back again: Karl Lagerfeld is tiptoeing onto Coco’s turf with the launch of a new fragrance. Called Karleidoscope (isn’t it brilliant?), the perfume will launch in September.
It’s not Lagerfeld’s first venture into the world of fragrance—he released the unisex Kapsule trio four years ago. Press materials say that this latest launch will be a ‘passionate’ scent blending violet, angelica, freesia, patchouli and tonka bean (thank you Google, for telling us that it’s a South American bean with a scent of vanilla, almonds, cinnamon and cloves). The bottle is based on a kaleidoscope and bears Lagerfeld’s scrawl.
Lagerfeld chose Italian model Bianca Balti as the face of the scent. She’s a Lagerfeld favourite, having walked in the past several seasons of Chanel shows and pouted for him in this year’s Pirelli calendar. You might even say she’s multifaceted…
