50s-inspired dresses with polkadots are big among Japanese magazines nowadays. Models like Lena Fuji from Vivi and Kana Hoshino from Popsister have been spotted wearing identical dotted sailor dresses.

Back in March, we wrote about a case that was brewing between luxury brands—Louis Vuitton and Burberry— and manufacturers/importers of counterfeit handbags Altec Productions (Toronto-based), Carnation Fashion Co. and Singga Enterprises Inc. On Monday, Justice James Russell’s gavel came crashing down on the fake-makers, ordering Altec to pay $1.3 million, Singga $780,000 and Carnation Fashion Company $390,000. The French preppy blog Greensleeves To A Ground dug up a series of photos depicting couples at Eastern Kentucky University from 1963-1964. Plenty of chinos, penny loafers, collegiate haircuts, and third button on the back of shirt collars.
